Cecily was brought to us by the Coastal Bend Cat Rescue who answered a call for help for a litter of 3 kittens. Once they picked them up they saw that all 3 were Manx kittens and Cecily had severely deformed legs. Her two brothers didn't have any problems and were adopted as soon as they were big enough. Cecily suffers from Manx syndrome. In addition to her legs being deformed, she is incontinent. As Cecily grew, her legs started bothering her and her Vet team thought it was best to remove them to prevent infection. We are asked weekly if she needs wheels. If you saw her run on her two legs, you would know that the answer is no! This little girl is super fast and even runs on our exercise wheel. Because of her incontinence, she started wearing clothing to keep her diaper on at an early age. One of our volunteers (now called Her Royal Seamstress) started making her cute outfits and a Fashionista was born! She now has fashion shoots every week in a new outfit. She started her own Facebook page, Facebook group and Instagram page. Her likeness is on tshirts, journals, pins, with more coming soon! She has been featured in national publications and on the Hallmark Channel's Kitten Bowl. She's become quite an Ambassador for the shelter!
