We're super excited to see Felicia, Victoria, Rosemary, Parker, Bandit, Uno, Cosmo, Hugs, Trixie, Mimosa, Gumdrop, Lolli, Vicky, Tony & Snickers go to their new homes!

Victoria got her happy ending!

Victoria was brought to our clinic to be spayed as a community cat. The caretaker didn't have funds to take her to a Vet for her nose and could only afford her spay surgery.

Our clinic staff wanted to help her so they asked if we could keep her! The caretaker let us have her and our Veterinarian diagnosed her to have a fungal infection in her nose. She was also very skinny, had trouble breathing, and had an upper respiratory infection and ringworm. The cards were stacked against this girl.

But, she is sweet and we all fell in love with her instantly!

During her recovery, a nice couple saw her on social media and fell in love with her too. She wasn't completely healed yet, so they agreed to be her medical fosters. After several months with them and 9 months of total healing, her foster parents officially adopted her this past weekend! We couldn't be happier for both of them!

Cat Brushes!

Brushing your cat is so important! It helps remove loose, dead hair that otherwise would have two fates - floating around your house or eventually as the form of a hairball on your carpet. You know you'll step on that hairball in the middle of the night, so why not do your half asleep self a favor and work to prevent it?
In addition to preventing your own discomfort, it really helps your cat! It stimulates blood circulation, removes any dirt, and helps you spot any of those pesky fleas.
Brushing is also a great way to bond with your cat. Most cats really enjoy brushing and it gives you some intimate one-on-one time. Throw in some treats for good measure!
2-3 times per week is great for short hair, daily for long hair! If you have a long hair cat that mats frequently, you might need some other tools in your arsenal!

Madison helps the kitties!

Madison, with her entrepreneurial spirit, set out to not only start a business, but help her community as well! She wanted to help her furry friends, so with the help of her mom, she set up her very own lemonade stand. She was so happy to come out to our shelter and present us with a portion of the money she had earned! Madison and her family have 5 cats of their own and they are all big cat lovers! Madison hopes to volunteer at our shelter some day! We can't wait to have her help!

It's always heartwarming when children or teenagers want to help animals and give back to their communities! It gives us hope that, while we hope the overpopulation problem will be solved by then, that if it's not, there will be someone to pass the torch to!

Such a great adoption week! The kittens in foster care are slowly getting big enough for adoption and we are still having a bunch of teen and adult adoptions as well!
