***Due to COVID we are currently not open for volunteers. Orientations have been canceled. We will post when we are able to accept volunteers again!***
The Cattery offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities! Volunteers are an important part of every department! Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 6 hours of service per month. Please note that new volunteers are often assigned to our most urgently needed jobs, such as cleaning and administrative tasks like filing and phone calls. More experienced volunteers are given opportunities for additional training, which allows for animal interaction, training and care.
Youth Volunteers are welcome! After attending an orientation with a parent or guardian, youth volunteers ages 12-17 may volunteer on their own. Any volunteers under 12 must be with a parent or adult guardian at all times. Hours available for volunteering at the shelter are as follows: Monday and Tuesday, 9-12pm Wednesday and Thursday, 9-12pm and 3-5pm and Friday - Sunday 9am-5pm Adult volunteers can work any amount of time during these hours. Youth Volunteers are limited to 3 hours per day. Volunteer Orientation is the 2nd Saturday of each month. Youth Orientation (age 12-17) starts at 10:30am and Adult Orientation (18+) starts at 11:30am. If you are interested in volunteering with The Cattery, please fill out the form! |
