Dan Update

8/25/2021

Dan went to the hospital on Saturday and stayed until yesterday afternoon. They were able to get his poops under control, but he is still losing weight. Without a biopsy we won't know for sure what is going on and he is too weak for that. He is still fighting. We are still fighting with him. But we don't know how much our boy has left. He's still very much enjoying his food and all of the attention he is getting. We hope that things turn around for him soon and he starts putting on weight and gains energy. Please say a prayer and send good vibes. We love this baby so much.

Lick Mat!

his is a great way to keep your kitties occupied and give them something fun to do! Mental stimulation is so important and this gives them a way to 'hunt' their treat. It can also be used with canned food as a way to slow down eating if your cat eats too quickly! Follow the link to purchase on Amazon! https://amzn.to/3yhLFTE

Dapper Dan is feeling poorly....

If you've been following Dapper Dan's story, you know in June he wasn't able to go #2 and had to stay in the hospital while they sorted that out. Well now he's having the opposite problem. He can't stop going #2. Plus he's lost a bunch of weight, all the while eating like there's no tomorrow. So far blood work hasn't really shown why this is happening at the extreme that it is, but we're trying some different things to help our boy. Send the good vibes, please.

We lost our sweet Charmin

We lost our sweet Charmin last week. She was our oldest resident (almost 17), lover of boxes, canned food, pets, and face scratches. She hated her chiropractic adjustments but was super happy 1 second after it was over. She was a talker and bossed us around, as was her right. She came to us when her dad went to a nursing home and spent her last almost two years with us and a foster home. Our hearts are broken but know that she had a great life and knew so much love.  You’ll always be in our hearts, Charmin

Chester's Story

8/4/2021

We found Chester abandoned at our shelter. His chin was degloved, he was thin, covered in fleas and just needed a lot of help. After 3 surgeries and almost dying from infection, his chin was as fixed as it's going to be. It still droops a little, but is so much better. He was also diagnosed with Stomatitis and over time has had all of his teeth removed. He's Princess Cecily's best friend. Because of that, and his ongoing medical issues, he's a permanent resident of the shelter. As you can see in the video, he's a super sweet dude. He will put cats in their place though, if they break the rules!
