Meet Templeton!

Templeton was found by Cajun George (if you know, you know) over 3 years ago as a stray. George brought him to us on the bus because his car wasn't running. He is FIV+ and at the time our small allotted space at the shelter for positive kitties was occupied. We had a vacancy at our Thrift Shop, so we tried him out there. Not all kitties can handle the store, but Templeton was a pro, right away. Up until Templeton, the store cats could be adopted. The love everyone had (has) for Templeton, staff and customers, changed that and he is a permanent resident. He greets customers, helps with checkout, approves the outfits of the day, gives hugs and head boops and in general, just makes everyone happy. He's been know to get into mischief - climbing into the ceiling, breaking lamps, runing out and visiting other stores - it just adds to his charm. During the pandemic, he came to the new shelter and became a lobby cat. Shelter staff also fell in love with him and couldn't let him go permanently back to the store. We now share custody. Templeton goes to work Tuesday - Saturday and has his days off at the shelter. ​
