In Memoriam - Abby

We're sad to report that our lobby cat, Abby, passed away today. She was one of our first cats at the shelter and was adopted in 2010. She was found last year, weighing only 3lbs. She had a disorder that didn't let her digest food properly and with treatment, we were able to get her weight up to 6.4lbs! She had a grumpy face, but she was so loving! We lovingly referred to her as our old lady cat, as she was almost 15 years old. She loved her treats and would launch herself into your hand for a good head scratch. Sadly, she took a turn for the worst yesterday and we made the difficult decision to let her go. Our hearts are broken.

My heart is broken. I know she was well cared for back at The Cattery. I will always remember seeing her curled up in the K & H bed Princess Elsa cat sent from Chewy a few weeks on your live feed. Run free across the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge. The others who went before you are waiting to play.

Thank you for taking care of sweet Abby. I'm sad someone adopted her and then let her go, but so glad she found her way back to you so she could be loved and cared for.

Sorry for your lose.
I do know feel and you had to the right/best thing for Abby.
To refresh your memory
i had to send my 14 year partner, Her
Prissy
ness Queen Fluffy of Coconut on Sate 27 Mar 2021 first thing that morning.
Then in the afternoon I can by the location and went Petco where of the 4 remaining cats the first 3 in there cages, I put my fingers in and they look at with a "jees another humanz". A the far end by himself was medium hair orange over white name Domino and he woke up, rubbed my hand looked at and said "I'm going home with you" and I could not turn down his direct command.
He turned 1yr on 6/6 is 28 inches nose to tail, weight 11 pound and his head is 50% bigger, physically and emotionally.
She will be waiting for you all at The Rainbow Bridge.
[if you don't know thr RB search it great poem]

Again I feel your grief and pain.
And thanks for having Domino for me to adopt - my healing is complete.

Wow....15 years is a great long life. And to know she was adopted 11 years ago and loved...what a great tribute to the work you do. And lastly...to be able to have medical care to treat an illness or assist with a pain free departure over the rainbow bridge...another great blessing. She was a very blessed kitty.

I am so sorry to hear about Abby. She was a lucky girl to have you near the beginning and especially at the end of her long life. Her microchip must have helped her find her way back into your care. You and everyone at the Cattery change and save lives.
