National Adopt-a-Cat Month: Why June is the Purrfect Time

Every June, as shelters across the country fill with a wave of new kittens, we celebrate National Adopt-a-Cat Month - a time to shine the spotlight on all the incredible felines waiting for a second chance.
This annual observance was established by American Humane to raise awareness about the sheer number of cats entering shelters during kitten season. June was chosen because it marks the height of this busy season, when thousands of tiny kittens are born and the need for adopters skyrockets.
But it’s not just about the kittens. Adult cats often get overlooked this time of year, even though they make purrfect companions - already litter trained, personality settled, and often much calmer than their tiny counterparts.

Here’s How We’re Celebrating 🎉
Each week this month, we’re rolling out a different adoption special to help more cats find homes and give you one more reason to adopt.
This week, we’re thrilled to partner with Adamson and Company, LLC, who are generously sponsoring the adoption fees for six of our fabulous adult cats:

But the good news doesn’t stop there! We also have 15 other adult cats whose adoption fees are currently sponsored, meaning you have 21 wonderful cats to choose from with no standard fee required.

Please note: When adoption fees are sponsored, we do ask for a donation of your choice, with a minimum of $5 to help support the next kitty in need.
